Playing on the golden sands at one of the many local beaches The beaches of the Emerald Coast are perfect for children. They are clean, sandy and beautiful.  The closest beach is Sables d’Or Les Pins, which is 10 kilometres, but within a 20 minute drive you will find lots and lots of beaches.  Here are a few worth a mention:  Pleneuf Val Andre, St Cast le Guido, Caroual Plage, St Pabu, Petit Mont St Michel, Erquy, St Jacut de la Mer.  There are also beaches that are good for body boarding, surfing, rock climbing and foraging/crabbing.  Just ask us and we will point you in the right direction. Learning to surf In school holidays we can arrange a group lesson for the kids to have a first surfing lesson.  This really is a treat with qualified instructors, wet suits and the board all included. No
Jugon les Lacs New in 2014 is an indoor swimming complex with small slides and splash areas suitable for kids and little ones.  On first glance it looks quite small, but my kids absolutey love it here and they are 10 and 8.  It also has a large heated outdoor pool and is on the edge of the lake so very pretty with crazy golf and other activities close by. Yes

Indian Forest, Morieux This is a go-ape style tree climbing adventure playground, with obstacle courses for those 3+ years. No
Onsite activities Lesley, with the help of Sam and Evie, produce a Kids Activity schedule with the onsite activities for the week. Movie and Popcorn night is a great hit.  As are the scavenger hunts, arts and crafts sessions and the odd obstacle course! Yes
Aquarium, St Malo The Grand Aquarium, St Malo is a brilliant Aquarium with thousands of different species of fish including sharks, sea turtles and piranhas!  Always a favourite.  There is also a submarine ride. Yes

Our swimming pools All the kids love the pools. What more can we say. Now they can be used on a rainy day too. Yes
Crabbing, collecting shells and rocking climbing. With a little bit of work, you can find all sorts of sealife in the rocks and some great shells.  Often buckets of today’s catch are brought back to the complex for discussion.  There are lots to do at the beaches other than swimming. No
